News
- So for those of you that don't know me: hi. I'm Sirik. I'm the new/old CT. I held the job a couple of years ago and am comfortably sitting in the seat again, happy to be back. It's going to be fun.
- This is my first report since stepping into the office and what goes on now is grading. It's nice to see so many people taking exams again - which was a major activity of the Hammer's Fist for a long time. (Sounds strange, I know.) Keep up the good work, guys!
- On the subject of grading: I am not looking for 1) someone to help me grade or 2) an A:CT/Commandant/Instructor. I'm very particiular about who helps me with those sorts of things and kinda protective of my "job security" (grading exams). It's nothing personal if I turn you away, don't get too heart broken over it. (Cause I know you will.)
- I sent out an email blast to all those Recruits in Orion this week, trying to Goad them into taking the Stormtrooper Cert test. Unfortunately, I got about 10 email addresses to bounce back and 2 of them replying asking me to remove them from all EH groups. (Like I have that kind of power.) I sent an email to Rico asking him to purge the inactives.
- Following that, I'd like to say I'm pleased with how people are recruiting friends and just other folks into the group and even following through with them until they hit a line unit. It's a good way to promote activity and boost our numbers. Kudos to you all.
- I'd also like to extend my thanks to Private First Class Lyncoln Novell of Redemption 2. He has been working on correcting the course notes for grammatical errors and spelling mistakes. (Anyone who has taken a couple of tests knows there's a lot of them.) This is a task I've always meant to do and never got around to, mostly because something else came up and this fell to the wayside. So thanks Lyncoln! I appreciate your help.
- Wrapping up my report, you'll find a New Graduates section. There I'll list who has passed a course from the Sunday of the week until the Saturday I write my report. (And if you pass a course on Saturday after the report, I'll get your name in the next one, promise.) If your name is missing or you're listed under a wrong course or something, please let me know. It means I goofed or the website goofed or somebody else goofed and I like to kick goofs in the head.
