Xantros sat down on the comfortable armchair. For a while, he did nothing else, but enjoyed the comfort of his new office. As newly appointed Vice Prefect of the Hammer’s Fist, he was not only given the rank of Colonel, but also all other privileges connected with the position. That included new office, which was bigger than the one of a Detachment Leader. There was huge window with great view on the sky and the surrounding, which allowed Xantros to enjoy sunrises and sunsets. Xantros fell into a reverie and relaxed. “Unfortunately, I need to start working. There is much to do, before I will be able to spend here some time here and fully enjoy all this†thought Xantros, while looking at high pile of documents and forms.
Let’s start with introduction of mine. As you already know, I am Colonel Xantros, by some old members recognised as Tomasz Ciesielski as well. I have been member of the Fist for almost three years, before it first fall. Last year, I rejoined it, when heard about the plans of its revival. During my time here, I was a rank member and served as a Team Leader ( current Fire Team Leader ) and a Detachment Commander ( current Detachment Leader ) for over a year. Thanks to that, I know the problems you may have.
That is why, please do not hesitate to contact me, if your direct superior may not help you or you need my advice. I have an open door policy, so you can ask any question and I will try to answer it. Also, if you have any idea that may be affect whole Hammer’s Fist, please let me know and we shall discuss it.
I am avalaible on IRC on almost everyday basis, usually in early morning and late afternoon GMT +1. You can also contact me via e-mail ( xantros@interia.pl ) or the EH Message Boards. I try to answer the e-mails withing 24 – 48 hours, but if you do not receive reply for longer than 72 hours, please remind me you are waiting for it.
All right, it is the time for my plans.
I am currently working with Colonel Aija over running Operation Mongoose. We wish to start it within a week, so stay tuned and watch out for more details in this matter.
I am going to contact each of you personally, as I would like to determine your status and several other things. Please, treat the e-mail you will receive with appropiate attention and devote a bit of time to think over your reply.
Our main goal now is to recruit new members. Thus, I am going to set a blog that will serve as a marketing tool and communication platform with possible members. I will provide you with more details soon.
As a secondary project, I will be working over Leadership Training Programme. It will provide basic knowledge for all people, who may wish to become leaders in the Fist. It will contain several stages, covering different aspects and levels of leadership.
There are several open command positions, FTLs and DLs. If you wish to stand up to this challenge and take over one of them, please send an application to ehastin@comcast.net
There are two standings orders for all of us – stay active and recruit new people.
Xantros looked at two piles of papers on his desk. Xantros worked all the day and it was evening, but the pile of unread and unfilled documents was still a lot higher than the pile of finished matters. It was going to be a hard time for new Vice Prefect, before he would get done with all those documents. Even though, Xantros smiled. He hoped that due to hard work, the Fist will become something even greater than it had ever been.
