CO Flelm approached his office carefully, not striding like an officer usually should, but rather slinking along the wall, as if he was trying not to be seen. Reaching the door, instead of tapping the door lock, he put his back to the bulkhead next to the door. Then, he brought out his datapad and issued a remote command to open door, preemptively wincing in anticipation. Just then... nothing happened. Flelm slowly opened his eyes, one after the other, and glanced up and down the hallway, before poking his head very carefully into the room. Still nothing.

Still moving carefully and quietly, Flelm walked into the room without turning the lights on and gingerly sat down behind his desk. Still, nothing. He then sighed, and keyed his personal recorder. \"Note to self: Morale low. No pranks on new CO. Need to increase activity.\" Letting go of the button, he muttered, \"Time to get to work.\"

Welcome to my first report as CO. Don\'t start expecting a little vignette every week though.

Anyway, I ran my first FTX as CO yesterday, and unfortunately I consider it a failure. A total of two matches were done, both between just me and the XO of the entire EH, SA Rapier. This was terrible participation, but it can be fixed. What I need to know, from those of you that are interested in multiplayer, is the best time for me to run these. I know we can\'t have matches when no one can show up, so I will run them when you want them.

Secondly, I\'m finalizing a proposal for MGN Astin that will hopefully let everyone play MP when they want to. More news on this to be forthcoming.

Finally, all officers should please contact me if they have any ideas for MP competitions, or any questions about running them. I\'m here for you.
